Les is a sixth generation farmer in Clarke Township, in Clarington. In 2008 he and Terry took over his family farm. His food training includes a three-year Diploma of Business in Hotel Restaurant Management, as well as 10 years plus experience as a Kitchen Manager in restaurants across Canada.

As for farming, he is currently a member of the Agricultural Committee for the Municipality of Clarington. We have entered the farm in the Clarington/Ganaraska Healthy Land-Clean Water Stewardship program. We also have an Ontario/Canada Environmental Farm Plan program in place.

Terry has the same restaurant management qualifications and several years’ experience working in Food and Hospitality. She taught Hospitality and food/restaurant service for six years at Secondary School.

Our philosophy is simple: provide high quality products, raised without chemicals, in an idyllic location, at a reasonable price. In September 2009, we bought our first Scottish Highland cows and a Highland-Hereford calf. Two months later seven more cows and our first bull, Morgy appeared. The frolicking began.

We were having so much fun, we decided to expand. You can now find pasture raised sheep, cage free, pasture fed pigs and free-range chickens and turkeys. To accompany the meat and poultry products, we offer fresh vegetables in season and delicious preserves and sauces throughout the year.
