DESCRIPTION:For Immediate Release \n16th Annual Orono Antique Street Festival \nORONO: Mark your calendar for Saturday\, August 9th\, 2025 as the 16th Annual Orono Antique Street Festival will be held on Main Street\, Orono\, 10am to 4pm\, rain or shine. \nOn August 9th \, Main Street in downtown Orono will be closed to traffic between 10am and 4pm to showcase the 16th Annual Orono Antique Street Festival. Residents and visitors alike will be treated to a great selection of antiques\, collectables\, vintage finds furniture\, military artefacts\, toys\, books\, jewellery\, art and so much more in this one day event. \nOnce again\, Orono Antique Market representatives\, Allister Macrae & George Wiltshire\, have taken on the responsibility of organizing this year’s show. We have been informed by the organizers that this year’s Antique Street Festival has attracted 25 plus independent new and returning Antique Dealers\, who will be displaying their antiques and collectables on the street that day. In addition\, the local antique shops of Orono\, which include the Orono Antique Market and Main Thru Church Antique Mall will all be open for business with great in-store specials to celebrate this event. DESCRIPTION:Help make Orono clean and green on May 6th\nWHEN: Saturday May 6\, 2023 8 – 11 am\n\nWHERE: Pick up bags and gloves at the north trailhead of the Sidney B Rutherford Woods Walk on Main Street at Mill AND at the Orono Horticultural Society’s Annual Plant sale on 61 Irwin Road.\n\nWHO: Organized by Orono’s Community Collective in partnership with the Orono D.B.I.A.\, Municipality of Clarington\, Orono DBIA\, the Orono Horticultural Society and the Orono Masons\n\nWHAT: Gather your friends\, family and neighbours to help beautify and GREEN UP Orono!  Choose a location that you would like to clean up.  Get your supplies either before or on event day.  Drop off collected garbage and recyclables at the north trailhead of the Sidney B Rutherford Woods Walk on Saturday May 6 ONLY.  If items need to be picked up from any other locations and/or on any day other than Saturday May 6 contact the Operations Department of  the Municipality of Clarington to arrange pick-up.
