Brimacombe Ski Club
Formerly known as the Oshawa Ski Club, Brimacombe has a membership of approximately 4,000 skiers and snowboarders with 125,000 visits annually. The ski club is located just outside of Orono in Kirby, ON.

Clarington Public Library – Orono Branch
The Clarington Public Library, with four locations in Bowmanville, Courtice, Newcastle, and Orono, provides a wealth of services to the community, serving a population of 87,000 people over an area of 600 square kilometres. We loan materials, host programs for children, teens and adults, offer free wireless Internet access, and provide 24/7 access to a wide range of online resources.
Orono Fish and Hunt Club
Orono Fish and Hunt Club is located on the north side of 7th Concession (Clarke) at number 3292 between Brown Road and Leskard Road (just north of Taunton Road). The club is open Wednesdays and Sundays. The club offers a range of activities including trap shooting, patterning, and covered bench shooting for 25, 50 and 100 yards all year round. Archers are welcome to come out and practice as well.
Jungle Cat World
Jungle Cat World is open all year round, 7 days a week, 10:00am to 5:00pm. They are located just outside of Orono. General admission allows the guests the opportunity to walk around the park to see the animals. Interpretive signs posted throughout the zoo and a free guided feeding tour at 1:30pm daily is both informative and interesting.

The Orono Fair is an annual event held the first weekend after Labour Day in September. The Fair will celebrate 160 years in 2012.
The Orono Town Hall
The Orono Town Hall was built in 1898. This heritage building has been the centre of the community for meetings, banquets and theatrical productions. The interior is reminiscent of the Victorian Era with original wainscoting, hardwood floors, semi-circular windows and wood ceiling. The Hall’s main level has a seating capacity of 145, with an additional 45 seats in the balcony. For banquets, weddings and social functions the main level can accommodate up to 115 with a dance area. The facility includes a full-service kitchen.

The Ganaraska Snowmobile Club
The Ganaraska Snowmobile Club (GSC) is located in Southern Ontario between highways 35/115 in Orono and Highway 28 in Bewdley. The club offers some of the best snowmobiling in the Southern Ontario. They are members of District 3, the Central Ontario Region Snowmobile Association (CORSA) and the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC).
We’re in the Hayfield
We’re in the Hayfield have been breeding daylilies for over 25 years, with vigour, hardiness, bud count and beauty for the Canadian climate. Plan to visit the garden during the Daylily Festival during peak bloom, the third week in July, or throughout the season to see the tremendous bloom in the four acre park-like setting.
